Hip-Hop Star Nicki Minaj Likes The Moves of Avon Bear

AVON, CT — So, remember that bear on the porch looking for the brownies? Hip-hop star Nicki Minaj apparently likes its dance moves.

Minaj on Wednesday posted a photo of the bear on Instagram on Wednesday with a lighthearted caption — "Excuse me hi, I'd like to know if you have time to talk about our lord and savior Winnie the Pooh."

It had 299,193 likes.

The homeowners told a friend of WFSB Anchor Dennis House she thought it might be the smell of fresh brownies that attracted the bear.

Bears are no strangers to Avon. The town leads the way in Connecticut in sightings over the past 12 months. See the statistics here.

In 2016, approximately 6,700 bear sightings from 134 of Connecticut’s 169 towns were reported to the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection's Wildlife Division.
