Investigation Continues in Avon High School Inappropriate Photo Sharing Allegation
School officials confirmed that the investigation is taking place and reminded parents to talk to children about phone use.

Avon Public Schools Superintendent Gary Mala wrote in a letter to parents asking them to remind children about the appropriate use of cell phones following allegations that inappropriate photos were being circulated.
Police are investigating an allegation that a student at the school may have tried selling photos of another student.
“As with any police investigation, district and school officials are not involved in or aware of any of the details of this investigation. We have also been requested to limit any comments as not to interfere with the ongoing investigation,” Mala wrote.

More information will be shared with the school community once police release it to school officials, he said.
“Given that there has been a noticeable increase in reports of similar acts being perpetuated by students in our state and across the country, I am seeking your assistance to remind your children about the appropriate use of a cell phone and what to do should they receive inappropriate information on it,” he added.
