Community Farm of Simsbury is preparing to harvest produce for its annual Farm to Table Dinners, which will take place Wednesday, July 23 (rain date July 24) and Wednesday, August 20 (rain date August 21). Held at Community Farm of Simsbury at 73 Wolcott Road, the Farm to Table Dinners include a four-course dinner with wine pairings prepared by local chefs and featuring organically-grown, fresh produce from Community Farm of Simsbury.
Tyler Anderson, chef and owner of Millwright’s Restaurant in Simsbury, Conn., will prepare dinner for the July 23rd event and Chris Prosperi, chef and owner of Metro Bis Restaurant in Simsbury, Conn., will prepare dinner for the August 20th event.
Sponsored by Harrington’s Organic Land Care, Cigna, and Reid & Riege, P.C., the dinners will commence at 6pm with a cocktail hour followed by dinner under a tent on the farm grounds at 7pm. Guests will enjoy a relaxed evening designed to showcase the farm, its organically-grown produce and the cooking talents of the featured chefs.

Reservations to attend the Farm to Table Dinners are still available for $100 per person and can be purchased by calling 860-676-2323 or visiting http://www.giftsoflovect.org/drives-events. Proceeds will support the Farm’s educational programming and food production for neighbors in need. Gifts of Love distributes the farm’s fresh produce to more than 15,000 people annually through its food pantry and Weekend Food Backpack Program.
