Large Book Sale Planned At Avon Church

AVON, CT — A local church is hosting a large used book sale fundraiser that aims to raise money and help folks find new, inexpensive reading material.

The Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon, is hosting a massive, two-day used book saleon Friday, Feb. 28, and Saturday, March 1.

Friday, the sale will be from 4 to 7 p.m., while the Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will be at the Church of St. Ann’s Father Bennett Hall, located on the corner of West Avon Road and Arch Road.

Friday's sale comes with a $5 admission fee, while Saturday's sale has no admission fee.

Thousands of books will be organized in separate sections, including a large selection of children’s books.

In addition, it will feature DVDs, CDs, books on CDs, vinyl records, and (this year) a large selection of jigsaw puzzles (new and used).

Most books are $3 or less with vintage and specialty books priced higher.
