Lawsuit Filed Against Avon Officials Over Sex Assault Investigation

The town and police are named in the lawsuit.

AVON, CT — A former Avon doctor and his wife have filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the town and police officials because of a sexual assault investigation, the Hartford Courant reported.

Khosro Pourkavoos, a physician, was charged in 2014 with 14 counts of sexual assault, but all charges were dismissed in September 2016, records indicate.

The Courant reported the lawsuit seeks nearly $30 million in damages.
