Learn To Cook The Vegan Way At Avon Garden Club Program
The Garden Club of Avon on Monday, Sept. 16, is hosting a best-selling cookbook author, with reservations required by Thursday, Sept. 12.
AVON, CT — The Garden Club of Avon is always working to help folks grow everything from flowers to fruits and vegetables.
But their next event on Monday, Sept. 16, will deal with what to do when the fruits (and vegetables) of folks' gardening labors are harvested.
The club will host vegan cooking expert Terry Walters at a program called "NOURISHment from a Plant-Based Diet."

Walters is a best-selling cookbook author who has been teaching plant-based cooking and wellness for more than 20 years.
The program will start with a light lunch at noon at the Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon, and continue with Walters' program at 1 p.m.

The guest fee is $15 and payable at the door, with reservations required by Thursday, Sept. 12.
