AVON, CT — Avon officials have announced the municipal and school impacts associated with the upcoming Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.
According to the town, all municipal departments — such as town hall, public works, library and senior center — will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, in observance of the holiday honoring the iconic civil rights hero, who was slain in 1968.
Meanwhile, all Avon schools are also closed on Monday, Jan. 15.
