Need Peace? Avon Library to Host Virtual Meditation Workshop This Week
The Avon Free Public Library will host a virtual meditation workshop on April 23, focused on finding inner peace.
AVON, CT — The Avon Free Public Library will host a virtual program on meditation and mindfulness on Thursday, April 23, at 7 p.m.
The event, titled “Meditation: Connecting to the Peace Within,” will be led by Bruce Faithwick, a business consultant and longtime meditation practitioner.
The session will focus on techniques for finding inner peace through meditation, including reducing exposure to stressful triggers and emphasizing awareness of the present moment.

Faithwick will also guide participants through a brief meditation exercise during the program.
Organizers say the techniques discussed are intended to help individuals achieve a sustained sense of peace and well-being independent of external circumstances.

Faithwick has more than 40 years of meditation experience and currently leads workshops and trainings that connect meditation practices with personal and professional development.
He holds a degree in economics from the University of California and has worked extensively in product management and marketing within the software industry.
The program is free and open to the public.
