New Avon Brewery Restaurant To Open This Week

The Northampton, Mass.,-based brewery postponed its Avon grand opening to July 17 after an 'equipment issue' delayed the launch.

AVON, CT — A popular brewery restaurant out of artsy Northampton, Mass., is expanding to Avon this week, with a grand opening planned.

Progression Brewing Co. has postponed the grand opening of its new Avon brewery and restaurant by one day after an equipment issue delayed the launch.

The brewery announced via Instagram that it will now open Friday, July 17, at 11:30 a.m. at its new location at 300 W. Main St. in Avon. It was originally slated to open earlier this week.

"Sorry to do this, but we had an equipment issue and need to push our Grand Opening to Friday, July 17th at 11:30 a.m.," the brewery said in a social media post. "We'd rather take a day and do this the right way."

The brewery encouraged customers to attend Friday's opening to "kickstart the weekend."

Progression Brewing describes its taproom as a gathering place for the community and says its mission centers on creativity, positivity, sustainability, and exploration.

"Life is a Progression, enjoy the journey!" the company says in its mission statement.

Doors are scheduled to open at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the new brewery and restaurant.
