Public Hearing on Revamped Avon Town Center Continues
The Sept. 8 hearing on the town center transformation is continued from July 28.

A public hearing on a proposed large-scale revamping of the Avon town center will continue Sept. 8.
Ensign Bickford Realty Corporation and Carpionato Group LLC have applied to the Planning and Zoning Commission for a zoning change modification for nine parcels, totaling more than 92 acres on Ensign Drive, Bickford Drive and Simsbury Road,according to the agenda.

The public hearing began on July 28, when the developer outlined a plan for the center of town that includes a new town green, a 15-acre wooded park, businesses, office space and apartments, the Hartford Courant reported at the time.
Tonight’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Avon Town Hall.
