Radiology Associates of Hartford to Provide Diagnostic Radiology Services to Johnson Memorial Medical Center

Radiology Associates of Hartford (RAH) has announced it will provide professional radiology services at Johnson Memorial Medical Center (JMMC) effective October 1, 2015.

The announcement comes following a historic affiliation agreement signed between Saint Francis Care and Johnson Memorial Medical Center designed to maintain JMMC as an independent source of high quality health care and expand its clinical services in North Central Connecticut.

“As a community-based provider of diagnostic imaging services, this presents a tremendous opportunity to expand our hospital affiliation and deliver the highest level of care to patients, providers and hospitals in the region,” said Michael Twohig, M.D., Radiology Associates of Hartford President and Chairman of Radiology.

Under the JMMC arrangement, RAH will support all aspects of imaging at the Johnson Memorial Hospital and Johnson Ambulatory Surgery Center, including Diagnostic Radiology, Ultrasound, MRI, CT Scan, Mammography and Nuclear Medicine. In addition to radiology JMMC gains expanded access to oncology, cardiology, behavioral health, hospitalists and laboratory services, and other services.

Radiology Associates of Hartford brings years of experience to central Connecticut and provides a full range of screening and diagnostic imaging services, including MRI, digital mammography, ultrasound, diagnostic X-ray, computed tomography (CT) scans, DEXA bone densitometry, breast and thyroid biopsies, and varicose vein treatment.

All RAH radiologists are board certified and have advanced subspecialty training in areas including neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology, musculoskeletal, cardiac, breast, and pediatric imaging.
