Saturday's Avon Football Game Changed to Evening Start
The CCC contest between the Falcons and Bloomfield will now begin at 6:30 p.m.
A big Central Connecticut Conference interdivisional matchup Saturday between Avon and Bloomfield will now be played under the lights.
The game, which had been scheduled for a 1 p.m. start, will now begin at 6:30 p.m.
On its Facebook page, Avon Football Online wrote, “Thanks to support from Friends of Avon Football, Saturday’s big game with Bloomfield will now be played under portable lights beginning at 6:30 p.m. at AHS. Mark the change in your calendars on your smart phones.”

Avon, in its first year in the CCC, sports a 3-1 record in Division III East. Bloomfield, which is also 3-1, plays in Division III West.
