'Save Nod Road' Group Opposes 100-Unit Housing Development

A residents' group is saying that a large housing development could mar the town's character.

AVON, CT - A developer has proposed a 108-unit apartment complex on Nod Road, but local opposition to the project is gaining steam. Area residents said that the development could ruin the beautiful area they live in, according to NBC. A group opposing the project said they have gained hundreds of signatures.

The development would be on part of a golf course, resulting in concerns that the housing would result in more flooding in the area. Residents have also said additional traffic could be a problem, according to NBC.
