Sign-Up Today For Avon Town Council Bike Ride
The deadline to sign up to participate in the Avon Town Council bicycle jaunt on Sept. 22 is Wednesday, Sept. 18.
AVON, CT — Most towns allow residents to watch town council meetings and attend them.
However, Avon's town council offers residents the chance to ride their bikes with them and enjoy the recreational cycling opportunities the town offers.
Today, Sept. 18, is the last day to register for the Avon Town Council Family Bike Ride event on Sunday, Sept. 22, from 1 to 3 p.m. The rain date is Sunday, Sept. 29.

Participants will then meet with their local leaders at the Thompson Road Pavilion near the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail for a 3- to 5-mile ride.
The event is dubbed a "family-friendly bike ride" that is "completely off road along a multi-use path."
