From 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on March 30, the Avon High School cafeteria will be transformed into a mattress showroom, with more than two dozen bed sets from brands like Simmons Beautyrest in all sizes to to try and buy including popular pillow-top and gel memory foam options. If you're considering a new mattress for your home, RV, rental or vacation home or looking for a custom-sized mattress for an antique bed or boat, you'll find options galore—competitively priced starting at $259 for a twin set—with all of the services typical of a traditional mattress store including nationwide delivery, setup and free removal of your old mattress, plus payment options including cash, check, credit card, interest-free financing and rent-to-own. All mattresses are brand new with full factory warranties. A 10-percent discount is available to police, fire and Avon Public Schools staff.

For FAME, the volunteer-driven booster organization behind performing arts at the middle and high school levels, the Mattress Sale represents a chance to "go big" and raise substantial funds to benefit not only students but the local community. Expanded music offerings will open new doors for younger students moving up through the middle and high schools, and enhanced facilities—including high school auditorium upgrades—will make performances, which are always open to the public, more professional and enjoyable.

Friends of Avon Music Education (FAME) was founded by Avon High School parents in 1996 and has since expanded its reach to Avon Middle School.
