Sound Body Choir sessions to be held at Be.Yoga

A free introductory session of this improv choir is set for Sept. 3.

A free introductory session of Sound Body Choir: Singing for Sound Bodies and Sound Minds will be held Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 7:15 to 8:30 p.m. at Be.Yoga, 17 West Main St., Avon.
Led by Margo Hennebach, GCFP, LGSM(MT), Sound Body Choir incorporates body awareness, movement and vocal improv. Sessions involve warming up the body to open the breath and joints, and grounding the voice and establishing a safe place from which to sing.
Hennebach teaches privately in Bloomfield, and leads workshops on the east coast. She is a Feldenkrais® Practitioner, music therapist, singer/songwriter, vocal improvisor, recording artist and has toured with Mad Agnes. A classically trained pianist, she has a graduate degree in music therapy, and has worked with such improv luminaries as Rhiannon and Bobby McFerrin.
