State Sen. Kevin Witkos Wins Several Endorsements

Witkos was endorsed by police groups and Connecticut Realtors.

State Sen. Kevin Witkos (R-8) has won several endorsements from various groups over the past couple of weeks.

Witkos, a retired Canton police sergeant, was endorsed by the Connecticut Council of Police and the Connecticut state Police Union.

“Protecting your family is my top priority,” said Witkos in a statement following word of the endorsements. “Connecticut’s State and Local police do an incredible and often thankless job to ensure that Connecticut’s crime rates continue to decrease along with what has been a decade long national trend. I am proud to support lawful, consciences, and effective measures to deter crime in our communities. I am thankful for the endorsement from the Connecticut Council of Police and the Connecticut State Police Union, and thankful for the work Connecticut’s law enforcement officers are doing.”

Witkos was also endorsed by the Connecticut Realtors. He said he is thankful for the endorsement.

“Policies that contribute to one of the highest cost of living rates in the country also continue to prevent the middle class from attaining the American dream of home ownership. A one party majority - another ‘Yea’ vote toward status quo - isn’t going to change our current course. We need to make fiscally responsible policy decisions for the middle class to thrive – those are policies I have and will continue to fight for.”
