Summer Is Coming, Sign Up For Avon Rec Programs

AVON, CT — Spring starts this weekend officially, but the time is now to start planning for your summer recreation activities in Avon.
The Avon Recreation and Parks Department will open registration for its 2026 summer camps and programs on March 25, followed by aquatics program and pool membership registration on April 1, according to a department announcement.
Residents can preview the full lineup of camps, specialty programs, and memberships on Wednesday, March 18, when program listings go live online.

Officials advised participants to confirm their login credentials for the town’s MyRec registration system ahead of time to avoid delays on opening day.
“Make sure you know your username and password … Log in prior to 3/25 so there is no delay in registering that day,” the department said in its notice.

The department encouraged early planning, noting that summer programs tend to fill quickly.
