Teenage Soccer Official Fighting Back in Avon
The 16-year-old said a coach verbally abused him, and he now is no longer assigned any games to officiate.

A teenage soccer official who was recently told he would no longer be allowed to officiate games for the Avon Soccer Club is accusing a coach of using bullying tactics, WFSB--TV reported.
Christian Godoy told Channel 3 he reported a coach, Corey Donlin, for verbally abusing him during a game; the harassment continued even after Godoy issued Donlin a warning, he says.
The 16-year-old Godoy said he heard Donlin tell an assistant coach, “I’m going to make sure he doesn’t ref any more of our games.” He said he initially was not assigned to any more of Donlin’s games, but a little more than two weeks ago, he was told he would no longer be officiating any contests.
