Three Years After Pandemic's Start, Avon To Host Vax Clinic

The Avon Free Public Library will host a free Covid-19 vaccine clinic on Sunday.

AVON, CT — Much progress has been made in the ongoing battle with Covid-19 since the relatively new disease first terrified the country in March 2020.

Now, three years later, the Avon Free Public library is hosting a vaccination clinic on Sunday, March 12, at its 281 Country Club Road site.

According to the town, free Covid-19 vaccinations for everyone aged 6 months and up will be available, as will booster shots available for adults and children age 5 and over.

The clinic will be Sunday from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment required.

"Please bring a health insurance card and photo ID if you have them, but it is not necessary to have health insurance or ID to receive the vaccine," wrote the town.
