Town Of Avon Has Winter Tips For Outdoor Cycling, Running And Walking

AVON, CT — With plenty of local trails and sidewalks, the opportunities to get out in Avon are great.

But with that comes increased danger, especially in winter, as the days are short, the nights dark and the likelihood of a dangerous encounter with a vehicle become that much more possible.

That's why Bike Walk Avon, the Avon Police Department and the Avon Recreation and Parks Department have issued a series of tips for pedestrians and bicyclists to stay safe while still getting out in the winter.
