The Avon Youth Services Board and the Avon Free Public Library are partnering to bring you a great Zoom program this coming Thursday, 11/18, 6:30-7:30pm

One of the things I love most about working at the Avon Library is the strong community of LGBTQIA+ teens.

A child, preteen, or teen might share their identity with a parent and the parent might wonder "Now what? There's so much I don't know."

I love helping parents and loved ones find books to help them increase their understanding.

This week's Zoom program "Understanding and Supporting Transgender and Non-Binary Youth" is a huge opportunity for parents, extended family, and adults.

It can be tough for transgender and nonbinary people to bear the burden of educating others about their lived experience.

This is a remote Zoom program, so distance and weather isn't a barrier to attending, wherever you are.

It is our hope that you (or whoever signs up and attends the program) will be able to better support the trans and nonbinary folks in your lives, and help to create a safer, kinder and more accepting world.

Please take a moment and consider if you or anyone you know might benefit from attending a program like this.
