Trip To The Butcher To Help Avon Students Next Week

AVON, CT — A prominent local butcher shop and an Avon scholarship organization are teaming up next week for a special fundraiser to help high school grads from Avon.

From Monday, Feb. 16, through Sunday, Feb. 22, Avon Prime Meats, 395 W. Main St., Avon, will donate a portion of sales to Avon Dollars for Scholars.

"Shopping at Avon Prime Meats will help fund scholarships for our deserving Avon graduating seniors, making a meaningful impact on their futures and supporting local education initiatives," wrote Avon Dollars for Scholars in an announcement.

Avon Dollars for Scholars is a locally based scholarship organization that raises money and awards several different scholarships to local students, helping them with post-high school education.
