Want To Make Avon More Green? Let Local Group Know

The Avon Clean Energy Commission is hosting a special dinner event on Election Day to discuss various sustainability issues in town.

AVON, CT — The Avon Clean Energy Commission is hosting a special dinner/forum on Election Day to go over the town group's sustainability projects and green initiatives.

It will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at the Avon Senior Center, 635 West Avon Road, from 4 to 6 p.m.

There, guests will be able to enjoy a "light dinner" and discuss/learn about commission initiatives.

In addition, the organization is looking for input from the public about what it can do next regarding its sustainability quest.

The goal is to "help make our community an example of energy efficiency, sustainability and resilience," reads an event announcement.
