Who's Paying Their Taxes In Avon? It's Now Easy To Find Out

The Town of Avon has added a new feature on its website making it easy to determine the tax status of yourself or anyone else.

AVON, CT — Many people are surprised to find out their personal tax history is, actually, a public record on file at town hall that anyone can see.

And the Town of Avon this month has announced that checking up on your tax status, as well as that of your neighbors or anyone else, is now just an easy, mouse click away.

The Town of Avon Collector of Revenue's office recently added a new feature to its webpage on the town's website.

That feature is a new tab at the top of the menu that says "2024 Tax Payment History."

If you click on that, you are given a quick form where basic taxpayer data can be inputted and that taxpayer's tax status is, then, visible for any to see.

Local officials said the feature should make it easier for people to fill out their federal and state income tax forms.

With local taxes being deductible on income tax forms, folks just need to go online to find out, specifically, how much they paid on their last tax bill.
