YMCA to Open New Childcare and Program Center!

Earlier this month, the New Britain-Berlin YMCA announced the opening of its brand new Childcare and Program Center on the Chamberlain Highway in Berlin. Scheduled to open in January 2014, the Y’s newest branch will feature Infant and Toddler care, Preschool and Pre K classes following The Creative Curriculum®. In the evenings and on weekends, the new facility will feature an array of group fitness classes including yoga, Zumba and Insanity, as well as a variety of programs for youth, teens and families.  The Y Childcare and Program Center spans an impressive 6,281 square feet of classroom and program space alongside a fully enclosed outdoor play area. 

The Y has been the cornerstone of the New Britain-Berlin community for over 130 years. Their full service branch located at 50 High Street in New Britain is the official birthplace of racquetball and features a full cardio workout center, weight room, fitness studio, gymnasium, indoor heated pool, racquetball courts and much more. With the addition of the new Childcare and Program Center, the New Britain-Berlin YMCA hopes to widen their impact on the surrounding community and make their services more convenient and accessible for all members.
