2 BHS Students to Perform @ University of Saint Joseph

Two Berlin High School students featured in storybook dance performances in West Hartford.

Two Berlin High School students, Megan Leary (senior) and Margot Paul (junior), will be featured in Ballet Theatre Company’s Spring Repertory performances on May 2 at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford.

Both girls are members of BTC II, the studio’s pre-professional dance ensemble, and have been rehearsing locally since March and traveling to New York City for the past 6 weeks to integrate the choreography with professional dancers.

Three pieces will be presented in the show: Gwendolyn The Graceful Pig, a childrens’ storybook which will be narrated by author David Ira Rottenberg; Apres Degas, a ballet comedy based on Edgar Degas’ masterpiece paintings; and Peer Gynt, a contemporary rendition of a Norwegian folktale.
