2 Men Charged With Catalytic Converter Theft In Berlin: Police

BERLIN, CT — Two men were charged on accusations that they attempted to steal a catalytic converter from a car, according to police. Police received the call Tuesday at 11:14 a.m. from a witness who said they saw two men tampering with a car in the parking lot of American Auto Specialties at 1381 Berlin Turnpike.

Police responded and two people attempted to flee the area. Police located the men and determined that they had been attempting to steal a catalytic converter off of one of the vehicles for sale at the business, according to police.

Albert Rosado, 27, of 77 Oak St. in New Britain, and Carlos Seda, 30, of 38 Camp St. in New Britain, were charged with fourth-degree larceny and second-degree criminal mischief.
