3 Injured In Wrong-Way Crash On Berlin Turnpike

The Berlin Turnpike was shut down overnight when a wrong-way driver plowed into another vehicle, injuring three people.

BERLIN, CT — Three people remain in serious condition after a wrong-way crash on the Berlin Turnpike early Saturday morning.

The crash shut down the turnpike between Middletown Road and Worthington Ridge. According to NBC Connecticut, a wrong-way driver was heading north in the southbound lanes when the crash occurred. Three people were rushed to Hartford Hospital.

The turnpike was shut down for the duration but reopened within a few hours.
