Cocaine, Marijuana Found In Raid Of Berlin Man's Home: Police

A raid of a Berlin home resulted in a man being brought up on drug charges.

BERLIN, CT - A man was recently arrested after police found 500 grams of cocaine, 20 pounds of marijuana, 200 THC vaping cartridges, and $27,000 in cash at his Berlin home, according to police. Long Nguyen was charged with possession of narcotics with intent to sell and possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell.

The drugs were found after local police along with the Northwest Office of the Statewide Narcotics Task Force executed a search and seizure warrant of his 196 Wildermere Road home on Jan. 17. Nguyen was held on $250,000 bond pending an arraignment in New Britain Superior Court.

Police said that following the investigation, the United States Department of Homeland Security provided notification that Nguyen was subject to both an immigration detainer and a warrant of removal/deportation.
