BERLIN, CT — The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is using a lighthearted video to highlight the breadth of items residents can borrow, marking National Library Week with a reminder that its offerings extend well beyond books.
The video, released this week, showcases a range of nontraditional items available to cardholders, including seeds, lawn games, Tonies audio figures, metal detectors, museum passes, and even cake pans.
“We kept asking… and they kept saying YES!” the library said in its announcement accompanying the video, emphasizing the growing collection of lendable items.
National Library Week runs from this week through Saturday, April 25.
Library staff said the timing of the video is intended to encourage residents to visit, explore available resources, and discover services they may not expect.
“Turns out the library has a lot more than just books,” the announcement said.
Library officials directed residents to the library’s website for a full list of borrowable items and additional details.
