• Berlin Voters To Decide Revised Town, School Budgets Next Week (patch.com) — Berlin residents will head back to the polls on Tuesday, May 26, to vote on revised town and school budgets after rejecting the original spending plans in April. The new proposal raises overall expenditures by 3.48 percent, increases the mill rate by 2.17 percent, and adds funding for education, a police officer, and facility repairs, while anticipated state aid could help ease future tax impacts.    

• CT NASCAR drivers Joey Logano, Ryan Preece pay tribute to Kyle Busch (ctpost.com) — Berlin-raised NASCAR driver Ryan Preece joined fellow Connecticut native Joey Logano in mourning two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, who died Thursday at 41 after a sudden illness. Preece, enjoying one of his best seasons so far, shared condolences on Instagram and reflected the deep respect many drivers held for Busch’s impact on the sport.
