Berlin Police Cadets To Hold Car Wash This Weekend

BERLIN, CT — Drivers looking to get their vehicles cleaned this weekend can help support the Berlin Police Cadet Program at the same time.

The Berlin Police Cadets will hold a $10 car wash Saturday, Aug. 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Berlin High School parking lot, 139 Patterson Way, Berlin.

The Berlin Police Cadet Program, run through the Berlin Police Department, introduces young people ages 13 to 21 to law enforcement and public safety.

The program is designed to develop leadership, discipline, communication, and decision-making skills while giving participants exposure to potential careers in law enforcement.

Cadets participate in hands-on training and scenarios and have taken part in regional law enforcement training programs and competitions.

Saturday's fundraiser will help support the cadet program and its activities.
