• Berlin, West Hartford Among 5 CT Towns Added To Federal Conservation Program (patch.com) — Berlin has just been added to a federal Highlands conservation region, making the town newly eligible for grant money to protect local open space, wildlife habitat, and water resources. This program has already funneled millions into Connecticut projects, and Berlin officials and land trusts can now compete for those funds to preserve forests, wetlands, and drinking water areas important to residents.
