• Naugatuck woman faces 16 counts of animal cruelty after dogs seized from home (nbcconnecticut.com) — Berlin police arrested a Naugatuck woman on multiple outstanding warrants, then turned her over to Naugatuck authorities, where she now faces 16 animal cruelty counts and related violations after numerous dogs were seized from her home. She's also charged in a separate case involving a fraudulent online ad targeting an animal control officer, and an earlier failure-to-appear warrant.
