Bark For Life Saturday At Fairgrounds

Dog lovers from all over the state will raise money for ACS.

American Cancer Society’s Bark For Life will be held Saturday, August 27 at the Berlin Fairgrounds. Dog lovers from all over the state will gather to honor the care giving qualities of their canine friends in a walkathon.

Since dogs are not permitted at Relay For Life events, Bark For Life gives those who view their dogs as support systems a chance to raise money for the fight against cancer.

Registration is $25 per dog with a commitment to raise funds for the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9 a.m.

Individual walkers and teams are both welcome to this event where there will be fun activities for dogs and their owners alike. Prizes will be given to the top fundraising dogs.

At this event, the American Cancer Society asks that all dogs are on a leash at all times and dog owners/participants are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs. To sign up or for more information, contact Alexis Maliga at 203.379.4827 or visit relayforlife.org/barkforlifect.
