Berlin To Build Senior Housing Complex: Report
The city has been awarded state money to demolish a former Knights of Columbus Hall, the first step in the project.
BERLIN, CT — A former Knights of Columbus Hall, which the city bought 20 years ago, is slated to become a new multimillion-dollar senior housing complex, according to The Hartford Courant. The state has awarded $193,000 for demolition of the building.
The Housing Authority is arranging for financing, with construction anticipated in 2023.
The project's end result will be 50 apartments for senior citizens.
