Berlin Eyes Grants To Fund Senior Housing Renovations

The Berlin Town Council last month voted to seek a consultant to put together a grant application to benefit the local housing authority.

BERLIN, CT — The town's housing authority is looking to snag some government grant dollars to fund much-needed improvements at the town's senior housing complexes.

Last month, the Berlin Town Council voted 7-0 to solicit bids to hire a consultant to put together a grant request package to get funds via the state's Community Development Block Grant Fund.

If those dollars are approved, the money would go to the Berlin Housing Authority, which would use the grants to pay for improvements at the Percival Heights and Marjorie Moore Village senior housing complexes.
