Berlin Fair Ride Wrist Bands To Help Local Schools
The wrist bands allow for unlimited rides at the fair Sept. 15 and they're for sale at several sites in town. They benefit school programs.
BERLIN, CT — Two local institutions are merging together for the betterment of the community as the Berlin Fair and Berlin Upbeat are offering ride wristbands with proceeds going to charity.
The special wristbands, which cost $25 each, will allow purchasers to go on as many rides as long as possible at the Berlin Fair on Friday, Sept. 15. (The only day the wrist bands can be used.)
The wrist bands can be purchased In person at Berlin High School, 139 Patterson Way, Berlin (cash or check only).

A table will be set up outside of the building.
In the case of inclement weather, the sales may be in the main lobby of the school and guests can ring the bell to be buzzed in by security.

On sale since Tuesday, Aug. 22, they will be on sale at the school through Sept. 13 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at BHS and on Sept. 14 at BHS from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In addition, they will be for sale at multiple school open house events prior to fair, which is Sept. 14-17 at the Berlin Lions Club Fairgrounds, 430 Beckley Road, East Berlin.
Those events include:
• Hubbard open house - Sept. 6 (Check with school for the time of the event.)
• Griswold & Willard open houses - Sep. 7 (Check with school for the time of the event.)
• McGee open house - Aug. 31, 6 to 8 p.m.
• Griswold, Hubbard, Willard, McGee, BHS, and St. Paul main offices from Aug. 24 to Sept. 13.
You may only use cash or checks (made out to Berlin Upbeat) when purchasing through the main office.
"Remember that purchasing through one of these school main offices will financially support that school's PTO/ Parents Club/ HSA," reads an announcement.
Berlin Upbeat is a nonprofit school group that supports various initiativies throughout the community.
