Berlin firefighters say New Year's is the perfect time of year to revisit plans to make homes safer.

BERLIN, CT — The local fire department is asking residents to celebrate the new year by making sure their homes are safer in 2025.

Recently, the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department said there are two things, especially, residents can do toward that end.

They include:
