Berlin Has Champion, Placewinners at Indoor Track Championships
The CIAC indoor track and field championships were conducted Thursday through Saturday at the Floyd Little Athletic Center in New Haven.
NEW HAVEN, CT — Led by an event champion and three other placewinners, Berlin High School tied for seventh in the CIAC Class M girls indoor track and field championships at the Floyd Little Athletic Center.
Patricia Mroczkowski of Berlin captured the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 4 inches. Other Redcoats finishing in the top 6 were:
- 4th - Megan Perrotta, 1000 meters
- 5th - 4 x 200 relay; 4 x 800 relay
The championships were held Thursday through Saturday: Class L on Thursday, Class M on Friday and Classes LL and S on Saturday. Click the class headers for complete results.

The State Open will also take place at the Floyd Little Athletic Center on Saturday, Feb. 17.
