Berlin High School Student Honored In Photo Contest
Madelyn Lazzara had two photographs selected for inclusion in the top 60 of ASAP!'s annual Celebration of Young Photographers.

ASAP!’s annual Celebration of Young Photographers provides students in Grades 6-12 the opportunity to participate in a large-scale professional art exhibition and juried show. A panel of professional photographers selects 60 photos to be included in a unique exhibition. The top four photographers are recognized for their outstanding work. In addition, a middle school and high school photographer will receive the Dylan’s Wings Photography Award, which recognizes photographers whose pieces brilliantly embody the 2021 theme of Space.

Congratulations to Madelyn Lazzara, a Berlin High School sophomore, who had two photographs selected for inclusion in the top 60 photographs out of over 300 submissions! Maddie’s photographs, The Space Between Us and 6 Feet Space, will be featured at an exhibition to be held at Bryan Memorial Town Hall in Washington Depot, CT on November 14. Maddie is a repeat honoree, having had a photograph selected for inclusion in the top 60 in 2020 as a freshman when she was enrolled in Digital Photography with Ms. Galasso, Berlin High School art teacher.
ASAP! looks forward each year to celebrating Connecticut’s talented photographers, providing creative opportunities, and helping to build a community of support around emerging young artists. Submission information is announced each spring.
