Tickets are on sale now for next week's 'Slice of Berlin Pizza Wars' fundraiser for two BHS student organizations.

BERLIN, CT — Two local Berlin High School groups are teaming up to host an event at BHS next week that is more than just a friendly competition to see who makes the best pizza in town.

It is, as the name of the event states, a "war."

Berlin Upbeat and the Berlin FIRST Robotics Team are jointly hosting the second-annual "Slice of Berlin Pizza Wars" at BHS on Wednesday night, March 27, at 6 p.m. in the school's cafeteria, 139 Patterson Way, Berlin.

"In a town with a good handful of pizza restaurants, Upbeat and Robotics are putting it to the test by asking the community to vote on their favorite," reads an announcement.

Participating pizza places will offer sample sizes to taste test and attendees will complete scorecards and an overall best pizza winner will be announced by the end of the evening.
