BERLIN, CT — The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is closing its children's department.

But it is only for a day, Wednesday, Aug. 14, and it's for good reason — new bookshelves.

"We’re getting new picture book shelving," wrote the library in an announcement.

"We’re really excited and think you’ll love the new shelving. We’ll have a small selection of books in the lobby to check out, however."
