Berlin Library Closed For The Day Wednesday, Dec. 18

The library is closing so it can train its staff on some updated services for patrons.

BERLIN, CT — The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 17, for staff training.

While staff members will report for work, the library will be closed to the public, with normal hours resuming on Thursday, Dec. 18.

Library officials said training days are an occasional event at the library and are designed to help employees better prepare to serve the public.

"Staff training plays a vital role in keeping us up-to-date with the latest trends and developments in the library industry, so we can adapt to changes in technology, policies, and user needs," wrote the library.

"Additionally, training days provide an opportunity for staff to collaborate and share ideas, which can lead to new and innovative ways to serve our patrons."
