Teen advisory board launch

The library will also kick off its Teen Advisory Board for the year with an informational meeting scheduled for Thursday, March 19, from 4 to 5 p.m.

The meeting will introduce volunteer opportunities and invite teens to share ideas for future programming.

Ice cream will be served during the session.

Snack tasting event

Another teen-focused event, “March Munchies,” will take place on Tuesday, March 10, from 6 to 7 p.m. for students in grades 6 and up.

Participants will taste-test a range of snacks and vote through a March Madness–style bracket to select a winning favorite.

Registration for the program opened Feb. 23.

Formal wear swap before prom season

Ahead of prom season, the library will host a Formal Wear Swap Shop open to all ages.

Community members can drop off gently used formal attire on Friday, March 13, from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

The swap event will follow on Saturday, March 14, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., allowing attendees to browse and take items at no cost.

Library officials said the event offers students an opportunity to find prom attire without having to purchase new clothing.
