An example writing prompt provided by organizers begins: “Everything was set for the wedding. The dress was ready, venue booked, flowers ordered, band all set, honeymoon booked. The only thing Paige needed to do was choose the groom.”

The 2025 winning entry read: “She was underground, waiting out the storm, when her eyes met his. The destruction that awaited outside the crowded shelter was still unknown, but their bond was already undeniable. They fell in love as the world was falling apart.”
