Berlin Library Unveils 'Best Books' List For 2025, What Books Are On It?
The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library's 2025 'Best Books' list encompasses several different genres of literature.

BERLIN, CT — 2026 is upon us, and 2025 is in the rearview mirror, with the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library recently unveiling its "best book" list for the past year from its staff.
Carrie Tyszka, Berlin-Peck's library director, recently announced the best books for the past year as chosen by library staff.
"Many librarians proudly note that today’s public libraries are so much more than just books—and that’s certainly true of ours," wrote Tyszka.

"We offer museum passes, a puzzle exchange, items like movie projectors and board games for checkout, storytimes, lectures, book clubs, craft classes, and much more. We’ll even be offering 3D printing soon."
But books, she said, are still a major reason why libraries exist and why the community still loves them.

"The benefits of reading are endless. Books can help people of all ages reduce stress, improve focus, spark imagination, and gain glimpses into the lives and experiences of others," Tyszka wrote.
Continuing with the library's annual tradition, Berlin-Peck has compiled a list of its favorites to share.
"We hope you enjoy the books we read and loved in 2025," Tyszka said.
