Berlin Lions' Luminary Event Raised Significant Cash For Veterans

The Berlin Lions Club earlier this month presented a large check to the Town of Berlin Veterans Commission.

BERLIN, CT — The local Lions Club earlier this month presented the town's veterans commission with a large check courtesy of the proceeds of its major fundraiser last month.

The Berlin Lions Club on Dec. 4 presented the Berlin Veterans Commission with $12,000 from the proceeds of its fifth Annual Luminary display held Nov. 9 at Veterans Park and throughout town.

"The Berlin Lions wish to thank all the individuals and businesses that supported the event," wrote the Berlin Lions Club in an announcement.

"This was truly a collaborative effort within our community that made this event an overwhelming success and will provide much-needed support to our local Veterans during the holiday season and the coming year."

The Lions especially thanked several local businesses and organizations who sponsored the event.
