Berlin/Meriden Firefighters Put Out Car Inferno

The blaze, according to the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department, involved a vehicle being towed to a garage.

BERLIN/MERIDEN, CT — Firefighters from two Connecticut towns tended to a car inferno overnight Monday into Tuesday morning on the border of both communities.

No injuries were reported, but the Berlin Volunteer Fire Department and Meriden firefighters rushed to Route 5 north to tend to the blaze.

The BVFD said the vehicle, which was destroyed in the fire, was being towed to a nearby garage when it burst into flames.
